RECOD student Ramon Pires was awarded 3rd place in the Theses and Dissertations Competition of the Brazilian Computer Society for his master thesis on computer-aided diagnosis for diabetic retinopathy. The work was supervised by Prof. Anderson Rocha.
The Theses and Dissertations Competition is promoted yearly by the Brazilian Computer Society to select the best master theses and Ph.D. dissertations defended on the previous year. The event is on its 20th edition.
Ramon Pires is now a Ph.D. student of RECOD and continues to work on computer-aided diagnosis. He is now supervised by Prof. Anderson Rocha, and co-supervised by Prof. Jacques Wainer.
