Prof. Eduardo Valle had a paper — “Pooling in image representation: the visual codeword point of view” — published at CVIU. That papers crowns the work of his Ph.D. student Sandra de Avila, whose main supervisor is his colleague Prof. Arnaldo de A. Araújo, of UFMG. Sandra has spent 18 months of her Ph.D. at the UPMC, France, supervised by Prof. Matthieu Cord and Prof. Nicolas Thome.
